This collection of Spanish literature reading aids is derived from participation since 1995 in a class called Advanced Spanish Literature and Discussion given as part of the curriculum of the Palo Alto Adult Education school. The class was conceived and taught for many years by Graciela McCord, a native of Mexico, and consists of a two-hour session once a week conducted entirely in Spanish. During the first hour of each class, students give 5 minute talks about any topic of interest to them, followed by brief questions and discussions. During the second hour, the class reads, interprets, and discusses short novels, short stories, plays, etc. selected from Spanish literature from around the world. A list of the works read in the class over the years is included in this collection.
Happy reading!
