Take care not to get burned by the heated pot or to let it scorch the cloth between the lid and the inverted dough ball.
After removing the heated baking pot and its cover from the oven, flip the dough ball into the pot as quickly as you can:
-
Remove the basket and then remove the cloth that lined the basket to reveal the upside-down dough ball on top of the second cloth and lid.
-
Pick up the lid with the inverted dough ball on top. Hold both the lid’s handle and one edge of the cloth with one hand and tilt the lid slightly toward one side of the heated baking pot. Grab the handle on the opposite side of the pot with a potholder in the other hand.
-
Lift the pot handle so that the pot is angled toward the lid holding the dough ball.
-
Flip the dough ball into the pot, keeping a grip on a corner of the cloth. The portion of the cloth that was under the dough ball will fall on top of it.
-
Immediately pull the cloth up (before the heated pot can scorch it), revealing the right-side up dough ball inside the baking pot.
